MOTIVATION, AMBITION & SENSE OF DUTY

...three of countless positive traits that characterize personnel from Southeast Asia. Together with a high willingness to learn and resilience, as well as a respectful manner towards elderly or sick people, they are excellently suited as caregivers. However, personnel from Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam are also ideally suited as chefs or in the hospitality industry due to their high service and performance orientation. In trade and industry, they shine above all through precision and extensive practical prior knowledge, as well as a very good basic school education, particularly in the natural sciences.

Recruiting apprentices or skilled workers from non-EU countries involves specific formal requirements. With GO GERMAN, you have a reliable partner who possesses comprehensive knowledge of all administrative procedures and handles them diligently on your behalf.

Why Southeast Asia?

A Demographic Stroke of Luck

While Europe ages, Southeast Asia is growing. We focus on Indonesia, Vietnam, and Malaysia—three "Tiger States" with an exceptionally young, dynamic population and a thirst for education that perfectly aligns with German quality standards.

Demographic Data

These three nations combined represent a population of over 400 million. To put this in perspective: that is nearly the total population of the European Union (approx. 447 million), but featuring a fundamentally different age demographic.

  • Population: approx. 281.19 million (2023)

  • The Youth Factor: approx. 115.3 million are under 25 years old (41%)

There is no "War for Talents" in these countries. There is a surplus of motivated young people who cannot all find a place in the domestic labour market and are actively seeking opportunities abroad.

The School System

Our applicants possess an educational background that perfectly prepares them for the requirements of German vocational schools. While the duration of schooling varies slightly depending on the country of origin, it consistently exceeds the German minimum standard for apprenticeships.

  • Indonesia & Vietnam (12 years): Applicants from these countries have generally completed the full 12-year school cycle. This is formally comparable to the German Fachhochschulreife or Abitur. They therefore bring a high degree of academic maturity with them.

  • Malaysia (11 years): Our candidates from Malaysia have typically completed 11 successful years of education. This is equivalent to a high-quality secondary school leaving certificate (Mittlere Reife) and frequently exceeds it. Consequently, they meet the formal criteria for dual apprenticeship programmes in Germany with ease.

In Vietnam and Indonesia in particular, mathematics and natural sciences (physics, chemistry) are held in extremely high esteem. Lessons are often more rigorous and disciplined than in Europe, resulting in a high level of academic commitment.

Malaysia is a special case: due to its British colonial history, the school system is strongly influenced by English. Many applicants speak English fluently – a decisive added value for your customer contact and for learning the German language. Whether assisting international guests or coordinating with external partners, these employees communicate confidently in English and thus overcome language barriers effortlessly. Similarly, in many regions of Indonesia, applicants also possess good English language skills.

GO GERMAN thus handles the compilation of all necessary documentation to ensure a successful visa application for the apprentice or skilled professional.

To enable you to get an even better impression of the candidate, we would be pleased to organise a Zoom interview for you at any time.
